Upper School English Teacher Full time Orangeburg Prep seeks a dynamic and dedicated High School English Teacher to join our team. The successful candidate will have a passion for teaching literature and writing to high school students. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:    

  • Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that meet standards and cater to the diverse needs of students.·     
  • Use various instructional techniques and media consistent with the needs and capabilities of students.·       
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing regular feedback and reports to students and parents.·      
  • Participate in faculty and professional meetings and teacher training workshops.·      
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.·       
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning and school initiatives.·       
  • Encourage students to think critically and express themselves creatively.·     
  •  Stay current with developments in English education and integrate relevant technology into instruction
