USC has announced a new major, a Bachelor of Science in Information Science, beginning in the fall of 2008. This major will prepare the student for employment and educational opportunities related to information in all settings. You may request a brochure at slis_student_services@gwm.sc.edu or view the website at http://www.libsci.sc.edu/undergrad/index.htm.

Reminders:

Please make sure your student has applied to at least 3 - 4 colleges, especially if their grades and/or test scores are not stellar. The most popular colleges in SC continue to become more difficult to be accepted to, so other schools should be applied to as well.
